LAGOS CARNIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUN!, CULTURE!!, LIFE!!!

Hello guys, welcome to another week. We all know how rough Mondays can be so here's a little something to brighten your week. On the 1st of April 2013 all roads led to the Tafawa Balewa Square (T.B.S) in Lagos Island, for the annual Lagos Carnival which is Finale of a week full of activities dedicated to Nigerians. ( The Black Heritage Week) It is the way we remember those who where sold off to slavery, and also pay tribute to them. Lagos State has a long history of holding Carnivals, particularly on Lagos Island, as a result of historical links with the returnees and their descendants from Brazil, West Indies and Sierra Leone in the late 19th century.  
Traditionally, these have been in the form of street parades within various locales but for Lagos Carnival 2011 all the parades and floats will culminate at the Tafewa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island on Easter Monday.
