Femi Fani-Kayode reportedly becomes pastor

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reportedly become a pastor in the cell of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Capital reports. The report disclosed that Fani-Kayode commenced parading himself as a holy man of God immediately he was locked behind bars. The politician, who was arrested for diverting campaign funds when he was the spokesman for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, wakes fellow prisoners up in the morning with worship and praise songs and he subjects them daily to intense prayer sessions by the hour.

Besides this, ex-minister is also going round the prison cell vowing fellow inmates that he will intervene in their favour and start strategic public relations efforts in their interest to repair their badly damaged reputation. The majority of his “newfound clients” were reportedly arrested by the anti-graft agency in respect of several cases of fraud. The report reads in part: “In profile, Femi Fan-Kayode presents the sharp, narrow silhouette of an aggressive jester. The former minister of aviation could easily pass as the best light comedian in the country, any day. “

Those who are familiar with his antics believe that he can easily build an illustrious career doing stand-up comedy. “This is because Fani-Kayode, like an unrepentant high school miscreant, is back on his grind again, telling people stories and lifting their hopes, so that he could dash them against the jagged rock of disappointment.”
Mr. Fani-Kayode was detained by EFCC since he became a person of interest in an N840 million misappropriation probe. The anti-corruption agency arrested him last Monday, May 9, after interrogation
