17-Year-Old Nigerian Student Stabbed to Death by Gang of Youths in London

A 17-year-old Nigerian student was brutally stabbed to death in Notting Hill, London, yesterday night, by a gang of youths, Evening Standard UK reports.

The young boy identified as Fola Orebiyi was said to have been studying for his A levels at the Chelsea Academy, after completing his GCSEs at Holland Park in London. According to reports, Fola was stabbed in a street clash close to Westbourne Grove just yards from the Portobello Arts Club, collapsing and bleeding to death in front of horrified tourists and passers-by.

A fight had reportedly broken out on a nearby estate between himself and a gang of youths, who then chased him into the busy road where he was attacked in front of horrified locals and tourists. Police and paramedics tried to resuscitate him for a long time but to no avail.

“He was a nice boy and very considerate none of us can understand how this could have happened” Fola’s neighbour Osman Sahal told the police.”As far as I knew he was never in trouble I suppose we must now wait for the police to investigate.”

Fola’s family are currently distraught over his death and friends have taken to social media to pay tributes to him. One friend on Twitter wrote: “Another youth’s life taken by a knife, this time in my area. Known the guy that’s gone too, these kids need to put down the knives. RIP Fola.”
