BREAKING: Police, soldiers in gun battle against militants in Lagos

Policemen are presently in a gun battle with militants in Igando, a suburb of Lagos, Punch reports.

It was gathered that the militants stormed the area around 4am, looting shops and shooting into the air.
According to Punch, the ongoing shootout has left three policemen injured.


Residents of Igando, especially those around Ikejobi Avenue, Ewedogbon Bus Stop to flee their homes or hide in doors.

Two Rapid Response Squad armoured tanks are involved in the gun battle.
