Ondo guber: APC primaries hold August 27

IN line with the provi­sions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and party guide­ lines, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has re­leased the timetable for the 2016 Ondo State gov­ernorship election, fixing August 27 for the poll.

National Organising Secretary, Senator Osita Izunaso, who made the announcement in a state­ment yesterday, said the sale of forms would com­mence at the party’s na­tional secretariat, Abuja from tomorrow and ends on Friday, August 5, 2016.


The party said the gov­ernorship nomination forms would be sold at N5 million while expression of interest forms would go for N500,000, adding that the forms are free for female aspirants.

“Last day for submis­sion of completed forms is Monday, August 8 at the APC national secretariat while screening of aspi­rants will be conducted in Abuja from Tuesday to Friday August 9 to 12, with the primary election holding on Saturday, Au­gust 27. Election Appeal will hold from Monday, August 29 to Thursday, September 1,” the state­ment said.
