A Shockingly Tacky, Hideously Distasteful Porn Movie: Piers Morgan Blasts Kanye West’s “Famous” Video

Piers Morgan, the British journalist and television personality formally with CNN, doesn’t approve of Kanye West’s “Famous” video, not one bit.

In a newly published column for MailOnline, Piers Morgan described Kanye West’s recently released visual as “a shockingly tacky, hideously distasteful, darkly sinister porn movie.”

“The whole thing is so disgusting it made me want to vomit, especially as the leering camera slowly moves across each famous face and body, pausing over various parts of their anatomies,” Morgan writes.

The controversial video, a tableau inspired by Vincent Desiderio’s “Sleep” painting, features a string of naked celebrities laying asleep and side by side in bed. Among those included are George W. Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby. Following the video’s premiere at The Forum in Los Angeles last Friday (June 24), George W. Bush, Chris Brown and Ray J have all had something public to say about their inclusion. Meanwhile, there are lots of suspect “quotes” from Taylor Swift’s camp currently floating around the Internet.

Later in the article, Piers Morgan goes on to discusses Swift (the inspiration behind one of the song’s most controversial lines) and how she must feel, before adding that if it was his daughter imitated in the video, he would be knocking at Ye’s door with the police.

“I don’t give a damn what kind of sexual depravity Kanye and Kim get up to behind closed doors, that’s their business. But I do give a damn when they drag their twisted fantasies into the public domain like this purely to make money and promote Brand Kimye. Imagine how poor Taylor Swift feels? This is a talented young 25-year-old woman with a hard-earned wholesome reputation who’s already been cruelly belittled by Kanye’s lyric in the song: ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous.’ Now she has to put up with him faking a naked waxwork dummy of her lying next to his nude torso. This is abuse, pure and simple; an older man exposing a younger woman to public sexual humiliation.”

Continuing, Morgan added: “If it was my daughter Kanye was violating in this disgraceful way, I’d be round his house now with the LAPD.”

The frequently controversial Brit even likened the video to a “darkly sinister porn movie.”

“Your 'Famous' video is a shockingly tacky, hideously distasteful, darkly sinister porn movie, nothing more and nothing less.”

Lastly, Piers Morgan, who in the past has been critical of Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, slammed the star’s claims of being an advocate for women's rights.

“And it makes yet further mockery of Kim’s claims to be some sort of feminist icon," he says. "As with her pathetic topless bird-flipping selfies, this video actually serves the complete opposite purpose, portraying women as vulnerable pieces of meat for the delectation of the slathering public.”
