The long-rumoured romantic relationship between Drake and Rihanna went to the next level Monday night after the songstress called him “baby” in front of a sold-out Air Canada Centre.
Taking part in the Toronto rapper’s annual OVO Fest, RiRi jetted into Hogtown from Europe (where she’s currently on tour) on Sunday to perform a medley of hits, including Needed Me and Bitch Better Have My Money. The pair sang together on Work (which found them grinding up against one another in a steamy embrace) and Too Good (from his album Views).
“It feels good to be back here,” said Rihanna, who performed twice at the ACC in April and filmed the Work video with Drake at Toronto's Real Jerk eatery in February.
“For the record, for being here tonight…you are way too good to me,” Drake said as she exited the stage.
The pair have been romantically-linked as far back as 2009, following RiRi’s split from Chris Brown.
But the are-they or aren’t-they duo made a few steps towards the they-definitely-are zone Monday after her second guest performance during night two of OVO Fest.
RiRi played the same songs, and Drizzy was again grinding up against her during Work, but at the end of her set, she said to the crowd, “It’s a pleasure to be here with you tonight… And you, baby,” she added looking looking at her rumoured paramour.
For his part, Drake said that they might have to go "half on a baby."
