Azibaola Roberts, the cousin of the former President, Goodluck Jonathan has been formally charged with money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Subsequently, . Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ordered him to be remanded in Kuje prison till 8th May (Wednesday) when the court will rule on his bail application.
However, the judge allowed Mr. Azibaola's wife to keep enjoying her administrative bail from the EFCC.
Azibaola is standing trial for alleged financial fraud and diversion of $40million public funds through the account of One Plus Holdings Nigeria Limited, which belongs to him.
