Kevin Hart Loses $500,000 Worth of Personal Items in Home Burglary

Kevin Hart was taken for $500,000 worth of personal items when burglars broke into his house in the Los Angeles area over the weekend.

Police confirmed to PEOPLE.com that the comedian was robbed of approximately half a million dollars' worth of clothes, jewelry, watches and other personal items in the home invasion.

The burglars most likely broke in through the backdoor, according to the police, and no one was at home during the robbery.

The police also say the home has surveillance cameras inside and out, and the footage is currently under investigation for possible leads.

The break-in comes just a week ahead of the premiere of Hart's new film, Central Intelligence, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The action comedy hits theaters June 17.

On Tuesday, the first trailer for Hart's upcoming stand-up special, What Now?, debuted online. The special was recorded last year during a sold-out show at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, making Hart the first comedian to sell out a football stadium.

The stand-up routine could also be Hart's last. As the comedian told reporters at CinemaCon in April, What Now? is possibly his "last f------ tour." He added, "I don't know if I'm ever going to go out and do it again."
