Reality TV star pal confirms Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are dating

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes' rumoured romance has been thrust back in the spotlight by one of the singer/actor's closest celebrity pals.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan has confirmed the former friends are dating during an appearance on the Allegedly podcast.

The reality TV star, who is a "good friend" of Foxx, said, "He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy."




Neither Foxx nor Holmes have spoken about their alleged relationship or the gossip surrounding the romance.

In fact, in April last year, the 48-year-old went on record to say the pair were just friends, and any speculation their relationship was anything other than platonic had annoyed the lady he was actually seeing at the time.

"I'm not the person who wants to be defined by anybody I date," he told Dish Nation. "Even if I was dating someone, no one would know anyway. But it affects my situation because I got a girl, who's like, 'Yo, who's this b****?'."

While Jamie didn't name the lady in question, he added that a picture of him and Katie on the set of an animated movie they were working on didn't help matters.

The photo appeared to show the actor holding hands with the 37-year-old while she held a phone in the other, but Jamie insisted it was just clever editing.

To further his point about how inappropriate the rumours were, the star insisted he would never disrespect his Collateral co-star and Katie's ex-husband, Tom Cruise.


The pair made the movie two years before the 52-year-old married Katie in Italy.

"We were friendly when we did the movie," he told radio hosts Rickey Smiley, Gary With Da Tea and Rock T.

"You know how Hollywood is... They're not necessarily your best friends but you have respect for them."
