ANGELINA Jolie’s brother James Haven has become nanny to her six kids as the actress’ divorce with Brad Pitt plays out.
James, uncle to the showbiz couple’s three biological and three adopted children, was seen taking some of the brood on a day out to the park just hours before their split was announced.

The Tomb Raider star has announced her intention to file for full custody of her offspring after The Sun exclusively revealed the A-Listers were going their separate ways following 12 years of marriage.

James, 43, has been a familiar figure in their lives and was recently branded their “full time nanny”.

He looked content sitting on a bench as Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight, enjoyed their time outdoors in LA.

Dressed in a flat cap and trendy sunglasses he kept a close eye on Shiloh and Knox running around on the grass.

Meanwhile Vivienne seemed content with perching on the wooden furniture and watching the antics of her siblings.

Brad and Angelina have six children from their twelve year relationship – biological children Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and adopted children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11.

The latter three youngsters were nowhere to be seen.

During their day out baseball fan Shiloh sported a bright blue Dodgers top and a sports glove in her hand as she played with her brother.

The schoolgirl had an animated look on her face as she played catch.

Reports have suggested James has taken on the role of a key childminder for the youngsters and he certainly seemed to be enjoying the bonding time.

He was seen chatting to Knox, dressed in jeans and a blue top, before helping him to retrieve a huge tree branch from some undergrowth.

The family was seen just before the split was announced.

Yet James is a familiar face in their unit, most recently giving Angelina a helping hand when she juggled mum duties with filming her new movie in Cambodia.

He has often been described as her "rock" and first came into the public eye in 2000, when he accompanied his sibling to the Academy Awards.

They shared an affectionate PDA as Angelina won the Best Supporting Actress gong for Girl, Interrupted.


This summer it was revealed he was shouldering much of the childcare as Brad's hectic work schedule meant he was away from home.

A source said: "Brad’s absolutely working his butt off right now and the kids rarely see him.

"He leaves for the set before they wake and comes home after they’ve gone to bed."


Meanwhile it was reported Angelina, 41, reportedly fired her children's nanny just months before filing for divorce on Tuesday.

According to US publication National Enquirer the 41-year-old felt that the nanny in question was being too flirty around her now estranged husband.

A source told them: “He’s always well-liked by the staff and friendly with them, but it became obvious this nanny was flirting around him and being a little too friendly.”

“That was the final straw for Angie. Of course, she didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger, and the nanny packed her things and was gone faster than you could imagine.”

However according to the source the mum-of-six doesn’t believe anything actually happened between them but she was left uncomfortable with certain aspects of the nanny’s behaviour.
