'It's NOT True!' – Oprah Winfrey Shuts Down Rumours She Is Getting Married

Contrary to reports, TV mogul, Oprah Winfrey is not getting married to her long-time partner Stedman Graham. Days ago, news made the rounds that Oprah had changed her mind about not legalising her relationship with Stedman, who has been with her for 30 years. The report claimed Oprah Winfrey had agreed to marry her long time beau over breakfast and they planned to tie the knot in a very private and intimate ceremony at her Estate in Maui.

Oprah’s best friend Gayle King was also said to be aware of the secret wedding.

However, Oprah has taken to twitter to debunk the claims.

Oprah Winfrey and Stedman have been dating since the mid-80s and the TV personality has always maintained that marriage is not for her.

“I’m not a traditional woman and I haven’t had a traditional life, and I think that had Stedman and I gotten married, we certainly wouldn’t have stayed married. The very idea of what it means to be a wife and the responsibility and sacrifice that carries — I wouldn’t have held that very well,” she said during a 2013 interview with Hello magazine.
